Toasty is very close to the Homestead Goat we want.
Her kids are growthy, and show great width and strength. Her first freshening, Toasty raised a single kid,
and provided about one and a half quarts of milk each day for our family. Once the kid was weaned, her production
raised to about 3 quarts a day.
Her second kidding, Toasty had triplets, but the doeling
twisted and came out folded in half, spine-first. The doeling died before/during birth, but Toasty kidded her out just
as easily as the correctly positioned twin bucklings without any help from us.
Toasty is very
calm and sweet. She is very well-behaved with new things, and her kids also inherit her good temperament.
