Nubian Goats

Nubians originated in England.  The full breed name is Anglo-Nubian, and they are used for milk production.  Nubians have long, pendulous ears, and convex roman noses.  They produce milk with the second largest protein and butterfat percentage, but they produce the least amount of milk out of all the large dairy goat breeds.  They can be any color or color pattern.  Nubians are known as the loudest breed of goat.
We are currently trying to work some Nubian blood into our Boer goat herd to raise milk production and create highly capable dual-purpose stock.  The Nubian-Boer cross is ideal, because not only does it raise the milk production of the does, but it also creates meaty kids with hybrid vigor and very high growth rates.  Our ultimate goal is to create a truly useful "Homestead Goat".
