Starbuck climbed the curtains!

Hi, my name is Logan, and I have a pet parrot.  Its name is Starbuck.  Starbuck is a white-eyed conure.  We bought him from a local bird store when he was about ten years old.  We have had him for several months, and he is quite a character!
White-eyed conures can live to be thirty years old.  He's fun to watch, and listen to.  I feed him "Birdie Bread" that my mom makes for him.  She makes one big batch of birdie bread when we're getting low on supplies, and we freeze it in bars big enough for one day of feed.  Each day I feed him one defrosted "Birdie Bread Bar", and some bird crunchies, and I also water him.
Sometimes, he decides that it is time for a bath.  He steps into his dish of drinking water, dips in to get wet, and shakes off the tiny droplets.  This bathtime fun sprays water EVERYWHERE!
Starbuck knows lots of words and phrases, and he's still learning new ones.  He also knows how to whistle.  And sometimes he even tries to sing - "try" being the key word!  My mom has also taught him some pretty neat tricks, including playing dead, and doing flips.
Maybe someday I'll be able to get some funny videos of him to put on the website, but usually the funniest things that he does are so spur-of-the-moment, I can't capture them on camera!

I built a stand for Starbuck's play perch, while Starbuck watched from a nearby vantage point.
